Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 August 2026

These terms govern your use of SodStack (the “Service”), operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME]. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

1. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.

2. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is billed monthly in advance at the rate for your selected plan. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and does not retroactively refund that period.

We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its data;
  • interfere with or place unreasonable load on the infrastructure; or
  • resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.

4. Your data

You keep ownership of the client, job, financial and other data you put into the Service. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process, back up and display that data in order to operate the Service for you. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

You can export your data at any time. If you ask us within 30 days of cancelling, we will provide a copy of your data in a portable format.

5. Third-party integrations

The Service connects to third-party providers including QuickBooks, Stripe, Plaid and Gusto. When you link one of these, you authorise us to exchange data with it on your behalf. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or acts.

6. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and to protect your data, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, or permanently for serious or repeated breach of these terms.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Service supports your bookkeeping and payroll workflows but is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and does not replace your accountant.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY].

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [CONTACT EMAIL], or to [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] at [COMPANY POSTAL ADDRESS].
